Course Description

  • Clinical supervision is a vital educational process in which a learner obtains real life and hands-on experience in the practice of psychotherapy. The process ensures that supervisees who are in the process of forming their unique identity as psychotherapists are provided with the essential ethics, values, knowledge, and skills which will help guide and inform the care they are providing towards their clients. In our complex, diverse, traumatized, and fast-paced world a strong foundation in clinical supervision has never been more important. This workshop is geared towards clinical supervisors at all stages of their career, will focus on the essential skills clinical supervisors need to guide their clinical supervisory process.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the essential components of and essential values of the supervision process

  • Identify and review different models of supervision

  • Distinguish different phases of supervision and related learning goals and expectations

  • Distinguish and give examples of right vs. left brain supervision skills

  • Discuss the use of telemedicine, group supervision and growth reflections

  • Learn to identify and manage potential challenging supervisory situations

Dr. Amir Levine is Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Bhava Therapy Group. As Clinical Director of our team therapists, Dr. Levine serves as a devoted mentor, educator, mental health provider and an innovator in organizational development. Dr. Levine has presented at numerous national conferences about issues related to clinical psycho-therapeutic curriculum development, organizational development and direct patient care.
