Course Description

  • We live and experience our lives through our physical bodies. Every move we make, every person we encounter, every experience we have, leaves an impression on our bodies. From those impressions we create narratives. These narratives are then stored in our bodies, in our tissues, in ways that often elude our awareness. This class is designed to lead you and your clients back to the inherent wisdom of our felt and embodied experience.

  • Perhaps you feel that you’ve hit a wall in conducting traditional talk therapy, as though you’re talking in circles. Maybe you’re offering insights and interpretation, but no real action or change is taking place within your clients. This class is perfect for you. In this class, you’ll learn how to attend to the somatic information inherent and emergent in every moment, of every session in a nurturing and insight-oriented approach.

  • Working experientially, with this information and with your client, you’ll see how you can deepen the therapeutic relationship, heighten the quality of the therapeutic relationship and the experience of therapy and effect more impactful new awareness and change for your client.

Taught by Veronica Vaiti, LCSW-R Co-Founder & Executive Director of BHAVA Therapy Group

Veronica Vaiti is a NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Bhava Therapy Group. Veronica has been working as a Psychotherapist, Yoga Therapist and Meditation Teacher for over 2 decades. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

Well-versed in many psychotherapeutic theories and models of care, I have learned most from the courageous clients that I have had the honor to work with throughout my 25+ years of practice. My approach to care is eclectic, holistic and collaborative. I believe that therapists and the clients alike flourish only when they are genuinely supported and cared for. It is most gratifying for me to be able to support our team of therapists in honing their innate strengths and in cultivating their unique therapeutic style and voice. Over the years, I have witnessed many individuals overcome tremendous pain and challenges with dedication, commitment, awareness and compassionate support.

The goal of therapy is to provide the conditions for clients to connect to their innate wisdom and inner resources and are empowered to have an active role in their treatment process. I greatly value equality, diversity and inclusion and fully enjoy working with a range of diverse clients from various backgrounds and the LGBTQ+ community.

I completed my PhD at Yeshiva University, I am certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and currently completing a training program in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.
